Bird Watching at Cook Forest

by Lois and Larry on March 15, 2012

Saturday, April 28 at 900am‘Brew and Birding: Birding Cook Forest’

Please bring your binoculars and coffee mugs to the Park Office to start the day off with a morning interpretive hike listening for warblers, thrushes, and goshawks in one of the Northeastern United States most magnificent old growth forests. We’ll then car-pool to birding hotspots along the Clarion River. This is an excellent opportunity to learn how to identify forest birds by ear. Bald eagles and osprey have been known to make an appearance. (3 hrs)
