Contact Us A short background about us: Larry and Lois McFadden are the present owners and operators of Cook Forest Top Hill Cabins. Larry had worked for Owens-Illinois Glass Containers for 40 years and when he decided to retire in 2001, the McFaddens looked into purchasing a business in the North Central Pennsylvania area. Why the Cook Forest area, you may ask? Lois was born and raised in Rimersburg, Pennsylvania, just about 40 miles south of Cook Forest. Lois's brothers and sisters live nearby except for one sister who ventured off to live in Batavia, New York and one brother who is in Johnstown. After having been away for over 10 years, Pennsylvania looked pretty good to the McFaddens! The McFaddens are enjoying their semi-retirement. Larry's present work includes doing all the maintenance work to the cabins and Lois does the marketing, advertising and accounting (all with Larry's help, of course). For the past 15 years and to the present time, as well as working with the cabin business, Lois operates Square One Marketing Concepts, a company that does graphic design, promotional advertising, marketing and screen printing and embroidery. Larry and Lois are a blended family and have been married for over 15 years. Larry's two children are a daughter who is a medical doctor specializing in neurosurgery and a son who has a degree in computer science and is employed in that field. Lois has two sons and both are employed in the computer networking and telephony fields.
